Mysuru: Erratic and haphazard driving by a youth has resulted in a woman sustaining injuries and four vehicles being damaged at Kuvempunagar here yesterday morning.

It is reported that the youth, driving a Hyundai car (KA-09 MC-9726) from RMP Quarters side tried to avoid hitting a Hero Honda Splendor bike which was moving in front of the car and hit a Honda Activa Scooter (KA-54 K-580) injuring the rider Swetha.

After the incident, the youth identified as Ravish, lost control of the vehicle and hit a Hero Honda Splendor bike (KA-04 ET-6817) and a mini bus belonging to MIT College damaging them.

Passersby and the public, who witnessed the incident, crowded the spot resulting in traffic jam on Adichunchanagiri Road and Udayaravi Road for sometime.

Kuvempunagar Traffic Police said that Ravish had fled from the spot leaving the car behind. Inspector D. Manjunath said that a case of negligent driving has been booked against Ravish and the car has been seized.
