Vijayendra inaugurates, Mayor Shivakumar, DC Dr. K.V. Rajendra, MCC Commissioner Ashaad-ur Rahman Shariff, Police Commissioner B. Ramesh and others, chief guests, 8.45 am; Vachana Gayana by various Basava Balagas, Chief Minister Siddharamaiah inaugurates stage programme, Forest Minister  Eshwara Khandre presides, Ministers Dr. H.C. Mahadevappa and K. Venkatesh releases books, 10 am; Seminar sessions,  2.30 pm; Cultural programmes, Karnataka State Dr. Gangubai Hangal Music and Performing Arts University VC Dr. Nagesh V. Bettakote inaugurates, film actor K.V. Nagarajamurthy, chief guest, Vachana Gayana by Vidushi Shubha Raghavendra and troupe, Kalamandira, Hunsur Road, 5 pm.
