Mysuru: Former Corporator C. Mahadesh (Avva Mahadesh) and his brother Manjunath, who have been sentenced in connection with a double murder case at Hunsur and also named as accused in the sensational murder of rowdy-sheeter Devu that took place at Paduvarahalli in the city two years ago, were produced before a City Court this morning in connection with the threat to the then Lakshmipuram Police Inspector Siddaraju.
Mahadesh and his brother Manjunath were charged by the Lakshmipuram Police last year for threatening the then Inspector for not allowing his (Mahadesh) followers to meet him when they were produced in the Court.
The duo, who were lodged in Ballari Jail, were brought to city under tight security this morning and produced before the Second Additional District and Sessions Court Judge.
The duo, after the hearing, were taken to Lakshmipuram Police Station for completion of formalities, following which they will be taken back to Ballari Jail, it is learnt.
Mahadesh and Manjunath were convicted and sentenced to life imprisonment by a City Court in Feb. 2016 in connection with a double murder in Hunsur that took place in 2008.
