Mysuru: Gowramma (88), wife of former Governor late B. Rachaiah and a resident of Saraswathipuram, passed away following age related illness at a private hospital in city early this morning.

She leaves behind two sons including Kollegal MLA A.R. Krishnamurthy, five daughters and a host of relatives and friends.

The body was kept at Saraswathipuram residence for the public to pay their last respects and was later shifted to Alur in Chamarajanagar.

Last rites will be held tomorrow between 11 am and 1 pm at Alur.
