Discusses on precautionary measures ahead of rainy season

Mysore/Mysuru: Former MLA M.K. Somashekar met Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) Commissioner Shaikh Tanveer Asif and discussed on the precautionary measures to be initiated ahead of the rainy season.

Somashekar urged the MCC Commissioner to order the pruning of overgrown branches and cutting of trees that have been posing danger.

He also suggested for the clearing of the silt in storm water drains and repairing of retaining walls along with issuing notices to the owners of old and dilapidated houses for demolition.

Somashekar urged MCC to cut the overgrown branches at parks for the safety of the people and also to warn the vendors who have setup their shops under the trees near the temple, apart from ensuring clean drinking water supply during the  rainy season.

Block Congress President G. Somashekar, Ashraya Samithi Members Gunashekar & Mahadevu and Sridhar were present on the occasion.
