Ex-MLC donates four ambulances

Mysuru,: Former MLC G. Madhusudan donated four ambulances (3 EECO and 1 Omni) to the Health and Family Welfare Department by handing over the keys of the vehicles to District Health Officer (DHO) Dr. B. Basavaraj at a programme held at the Department Office in Nazarbad this morning.

The vehicles were purchased at a total cost of Rs. 15 lakh under the MLC Local Area Development Fund (2016-17).

Dr. Chidambara, Dr. Siraj, Dr. Ravi, Dr. Padmaraj, Department staff Jayaprakash and others were present.

Of the four vehicles, one will be handed over to Saragur CHC (Community Health Centre) and one to Tholalu CHC both in the Tribal belt of H.D. Kote taluk. The third one will be given to Primary Health Centre (PHC) at Talakad in T. Narasipur taluk and fourth to Hullahalli PHC in  Nanjangud taluk.

These vehicles will be added to the existing fleet of 33 ambulances  (plus 1 bike ambulance) already operating in the district under various Government health initiatives like Janani Suraksha Vahini and                                                 Nagu-Magu scheme.
