Three MMA fighters of Academy of Martial Science, representing Mysore Combat Sports Association (MCSA), recently participated in MMA National Championships held at Delhi’s Thyagaraj Sports Complex between Sept.21 and 23.

N.M. Tharika Muthamma, fighting one weight division up in Feather Weight category was placed second and was declared a winner in Bantam weight category. She is the lone female medallist from Karnataka. S. Anand and Hemanth Prasad lost their qualifiers and were awarded medals of appreciation for their performance.

The event was organised by All India Mixer Martial Arts Association (AIMMAA) and the team represented AMMAK. The fighters are trained in MMA by International athlete and coach Kru. Vikram at AMS.
