Mysuru: City’s roller skating prodigy Aarav Kiran, taking part in the recently held 62nd National Roller Skating Championships organised by Roller Skating Federation of India in association with Karnataka Roller Skating Association at Rao’s Skating Ground in Mysuru, won silver medal in the Rink 4 1+D event held for boys between the age group of  7 and 9 years.

Aarav trains at Elite Roller Skating Academy in the city with Adithya S. Rao and M.G. Uma.

A student of ICan International School, he is the son of Kiran Koorgalli and Deepika Kiran.

Varshini Aparna, who represented Karnataka in the age group of 14-17 years in the 62nd National Roller Skating Championships held in Mysuru from Dec. 5 to 15, has bagged two gold medals and two silver medals.

A native of Mysuru, Varshini is trained under coach Raghavendra at Best Club in Rajarajeshwari Nagar, Bengaluru. A 10th std. student of Nirmala Rani School in Bengaluru, she is the daughter of Aparna and N. Raghavendra, residents of Basaveshwar Nagar in Bengaluru.
