Abhnigyan Anil Gowda, a 10th std. student of The Orchids Public School, Bogadi Road, Kumarabeedu, Mysuru, stood 5th in the National-level Athletic Meet at All India-level CBSE U-17 High Jump competition held at Raipur in Chattisgarh.

Earlier, he had won a silver medal in CBSE State-level held at Davangere. He is the son of T.U.  Anil and Anishka, both  National-level medallists in athletics.
