Excels in Wrestling, Hackathon Competitions

The winners, who were felicitated at Maharaja Institute of Technology (MIT), Mysore recently, are seen with Principal Dr. B.G. Naresh Kumar and Secretary Dr. T. Vasudev.

Mysuru: The following students of Maharaja Institute of Technology Mysore (MITM), a unit of Maharaja Education Trust, Mysuru, have excelled in the VTU Inter-College Judo and Wrestling Championship held at SJCIT, Chikkaballapur, recently: 

Ravi Kumar (3rd sem EC & E student) has won the Gold Medal and has also been selected to represent Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) at the National-level Wrestling Competition; Pavan Kumar (3rd sem Mechanical student) has won the Silver Medal.

In the Inter-Engineering College ‘Hackathon’ Competition organised by the Infosys at its premises recently, the students of MITM, comprising S. Shivashankar, H.B. Mohan Krishna, S. Lakshmeesh, Snehil Das and S. Bharath, competed continuously for more than 30 hours on the trot and have secured the II Runner-up position. 

More than 30 teams from 16 Colleges of Mysuru Region had participated in the event. 

The mentor of the College team Shivasagar won the ‘Best Mentor Award’ in this technical extravaganza.
