Sir,
I am writing on behalf of the residents of Vijayanagar 4th Stage, 2nd Phase, KBL Enclave, Viaana Gravity One Apartment, to address critical issues regarding storm water drainage and garbage dumping in our area.
1. Sewage Line Connection: The underground sewage pipelines were laid by Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) two years ago. However, they have not been connected to the sewage chamber. As a result, sewage water is draining into the storm water drain next to our apartment.
This stagnant sewage poses serious health risks, serving as a breeding ground for diseases. Despite our repeated requests, MUDA is yet to take action to resolve this issue.
2. Garbage Accumulation: There is a significant accumulation of garbage in our area, with nearly half of the main road covered with it. This not only affects our living conditions but also exacerbates the foul odour in the vicinity.
With Mysuru trying to become a smart and clean city, we urgently request the Pollution Control Board and MUDA to prioritise this matter and take immediate action to divert the sewage water falling into the storm water drain.
