Extend Mysuru-Renigunta Express upto Tirupati

Sir,

We are thankful for the Mysuru Division of South Western Railway for arranging an overnight weekend train to Renigunta via Bengaluru City. The move comes at a time when the Bengaluru-Mysuru-Chennai line is doubled and electrified thus enabling movement of trains with increased speed restrictions.

The new Mysuru-Renigunta Express is very beneficial and will further benefit if the same is extended upto Tirupati. The train currently operates via Bengaluru-Jolarpet-Katpadi-Tiruttani route. Presently with the exception of Chamarajanagar-Tirupati Express, there are no other trains to connect to Tirupati. The other Mysuru-Howrah train doesn’t connect to Tirupati but instead operates via Renigunta.

As Renigunta Express has the facility of air-conditioned coaches, extension and termination of this overnight train upto Tirupati will  prove beneficial and also as this train is run on Friday, it will benefit weekend travellers.

Hence, the authorities concerned are requested to look into extending/terminating 11065/11066 Mysuru-Renigunta Express upto Tirupati.
