Crested Serpent Eagle – Spilornis cheela is a marvellous raptor that predominantly hunts snakes and rodents in agricultural areas especially beside rivers and canals. The bird figures in the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) Red List of Threatened Species 2016.
