Factory employee among two killed in separate accidents

Nanjangud: Two motorcyclists were killed on-the-spot in two separate road accidents in the limits of Nanjangud town this morning.

In the first incident, a Nestle factory employee was killed when the motorcycle he was riding was knocked down by a goods lorry at BDO Office circle (Apollo Circle) on Mysuru-Nanjangud Road.

The deceased has been identified as Krishnamurthy (38), of Sindhuvallipura in the taluk. Krishnamurthy was travelling on his motorcycle to Nestle factory at about 7 am when the speeding lorry fatally knocked him down.

In the second incident, a youth was killed on the spot when his motorcycle collided head on with a private bus near Mudikatte on Chamarajanagar bypass road in the town this morning. The deceased has been identified as Madhusudhan (21), of Chamarajanagar district. Madhusudhan, a construction worker, was coming to the town from his village on a motorcycle when a private bus coming from the opposite direction, fatally knocked him down near Mudikatte at  about 9.30 am.

Nanjangud Traffic SI Anand, ASI Prabhulingaradhya and other Police personnel rushed to the spot and conducted mahazar.

The Nanjangud Traffic Police, who have registered both the cases, are investigating.
