Fake marks cards: Case registered against teachers after 28 years

Mysore/Mysuru: Their unlawful act has finally caught up with four teachers with just a couple of years left for their retirement, as a criminal case has been registered against them in connection with fake marks cards scam, after 28 years of wrongdoing.

The teachers accused are Shivappa, 56, of Kabbatti cross Government High School, Yoganna, 58, of Gavenahalli Government High School, Mohini, 56 and B. Kaveri, 55, of Govt. High School on R.C. Road in Hassan.

Details: The Government had recruited these four teachers based on the submission of their academic records on Feb. 5, 1994. But it was later found that they had produced a fabricated degree marks cards, following which KSEEB Divisional Secretary Bharathi lodged a complaint with Lakshmipuram Police, who subsequently have booked a case against the four, it is learnt.
