Family feud claims woman’s life

Mysuru:  Family feud has claimed the life of a woman, who was injured when she was pushed during a fight at Gayatripuram in city on Friday evening.

The deceased has been identified as Zarina Taj (56), a resident of Gayatripuram here. Though she was rushed to a private hospital in city, Zarina breathed her last at about 9.30 pm after failing to respond to the treatment.

It is reported that Muskan, daughter of Mohammed Rafi (brother of Zarina Taj), was given in marriage to one Syed Salman about one-and-a-half years ago.

As the family members of Salman were allegedly harassing Muskan, the matter was brought before the Police personnel at the Women’s Police Station, who summoned Salman and his family members to the Police Station and advised them, it is learnt.

On Friday morning, Salman’s family members, who came to Mohammed Rafi’s house allegedly picked up a fight and as the issue escalated, it resulted in a physical fight.

During the fight, Zarina was pushed hard resulting in her falling down and sustaining  injuries.

Though she was rushed to the hospital, she died at the hospital in the night.

Nazarbad Police, who have registered a case in this regard, have arrested Syed Salman, Ayesha, Sultan and Ayesha Banu, who were responsible for Zarina’s death.
