Mysuru: Demanding release of water to canals from Kabini and Taraka reservoirs, the KRRS has threatened to lay siege to CADA (Cauvery) office in city on Aug. 24, if water was not released by then.
Addressing a press meet at Jaladarshini Guest House here on Thursday, KRRS President Badagalapura Nagendra said, the farmer agitation demanding release of water into canals would continue. Govt. should respond to the plight of our farmers by releasing water to canals of Kabini and Taraka reservoirs, which have filled up. If not, the farmers have no option other than to lay siege to CADA, he warned.
