Felicitation marks World Pharmacists’ Day by IPA

Mysore/Mysuru: The Indian Pharmaceutical Association (IPA), Mysuru local branch, celebrated World Pharmacists’ Day at Sri Rajendra auditorium of JSS College of Pharmacy in Sri Shivarathreeshwara Nagara here recently.

Principal of JSS College of Pharmacy and President of IPA Mysuru Branch Dr. T.M. Pramod Kumar welcomed the dignitaries and guests. The programme was inaugurated by Dr. G.R. Chandrashekar, Chairman of Cauvery Group of Institutions, Mysuru.

Additional Drugs Controller Dr. Amaresh Tumbagi, who was the chief guest, emphasised the role of pharmacists for a healthier world.

Deputy Mayor Dr. G. Roopa, Assistant Drugs Controller Dr. S. Nagaraja and former Principal and Alumnus of JSS College of Pharmacy Dr. H. G. Shivakumar were felicitated on the occasion.

The chief guest distributed prizes to the winners of elocution competition which was held on Sept. 21 with World Pharmacists Day as the theme.

Principal of Sarada Vilas College of Pharmacy Dr. Hanumathachar Joshi, Professor of Cauvery College of Pharmacy and Vice-President of IPA Mysuru Dr. M. Manjunatha, faculty of Pharmacy colleges and members of various associations were present. Secretary of IPA Mysuru Dr. R.S. Chandan proposed a vote of thanks.
