Mysuru: As there is a greater need to control fire accidents, Nanjangud Industries Association (NIA) has organised an awareness programme on Fire Safety in association with Department of Fire Force and Emergency Services, Government of Karnataka, on Apr.10.
An analysis of fire accidents reveal that most of the accidents are a result of ignorance of safety standards and practices, non-incorporation of the standards during construction, ignorance of behavioural aspects of various chemicals used in day to day activities, inadequate technology, non-supply of complete technical know-how including the safety systems and procedures.
The faculty for this programme are experienced Fire Officers from the Department of Fire Force and Emergency Services.
The programme, scheduled to be held on Wednesday (Apr. 10) at 9.30 am at NIA Training Hall in Nanjangud, will be inaugurated by Sunil Agarwal, Additional Director General, Fire Force and Emergency Services.
