Vishnu Parayana Pratishtana and Swarna Nrusimha Datta Sai Pitika Seva Trust have jointly organised ‘Atirudra Mahayaga’ for Loka Kalyana from May 2 to 6 at Vidyashankara Kalyana Mantapa, opposite Gun House in city. Sri Raghavendra Swamy Mutt, Mantralayam Seer Sri Subudhendra Tirtha Sripadam, Suttur Seer Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Swamiji and Sri Arjun Avadootha Swamiji will grace the occasion where hundreds of  ritwiks will participate.

Atrirudra Mahayaga will be led by Vedabrahma Sri Srinivasa Guru will commence from 6 am on May 2 with shobhayatre and deeparadhane will take place in the presence of various Seers. The yaga will be followed by vaidika dwajarohana, gau puja, mahasankalpa, ankurarpane and other programmes.

Stage programmes will be held later. The programmes will begin with Ganapathy puja which will be followed by lectures, navagraha homa, nakshatra homa and various other homa-havana including cultural programmes. Dignitaries from various fields including film and TV serial artists will take part in the programmes. Prasada will be distributed every day, according to a press release from the Trust.
