Five-day drama festival

Mysuru: Sri Renuka Kala Vrinda, Mysuru, has organised a five-day drama festival as part of its 30th anniversary at the Town Hall here from June 21 to 25 in collaboration with Kannada and Culture Department.

The festival was inaugurated by H. V. Rajeev, President, District Co-operative Union. Sri Ilai Alwar Swamiji of Vangipura Mutt, Melukote, presided.  H. V. Bhaskar, Vice-President, KR Bank was the chief guest.  H. P. Nagendra Prasad, veteran harmonium and casio player and Founder-President of Sri Renuka Kala Vrinda, Mahima Nagaraju, Dr. N. N. Prahallada, and Akki Hebbal Nagaraju were present.

The following dramas will be staged: June 21 at 3 pm: Staging of play “Thayagi” by Kannada Sri Kala Vrinda Troupe; June 22  at 11.30 am: “Sampoorna Ramayana” by Sri Rama Krupa Positha Nataka Mandali, Koorgalli; June 23 at 12 noon: “Daksha Yajna” by Sri Hiranyaeshwara Krupa Poshitha Nataka Mandali, Hosamaranahalli, Mysuru; June 24 at 11.30 am: “Daksha Yajna” by Renuka Kala Vrinda; June 25 at 11.30 am: “Kurukeshtra” by Sri Guru Raghavendra Mithra Mandali. There is no entry fee.
