Five trees felled to straighten Hunsur road

Five trees from Jaladarshini Guest House to Paduvarahalli Signal Lights junction were felled yesterday to straighten the accident-prone Hunsur Road.

MP Pratap Simha, about two days ago, had inspected the spot along with members of Mysore Grahakara Parishat (MGP), officials of NHAI, Forest Department and MCC, during which it was decided to fell five trees which had come in-between the road straightening works after seeking permission from the Forest Department.

Traffic on one side of the road was blocked for sometime and the traffic resumed after the MCC cleared the fallen trees.
