Flesh trade: Eight arrested, Rs.19,300 cash, 10 mobile phones seized in separate cases

Mysuru: – In separate cases, the Police have arrested eight persons involved in prostitution and have seized Rs.19,300 cash and 10 mobile phones from them.

In the first case, the City Crime Branch (CCB) Police, acting on a tip off, raided a house in Vidyaranyapuram on July 12 and arrested three persons involved in the flesh trade racket and have seized Rs.10,500 cash and four mobile phones from them.

The arrested have been identified as 40-year-old Lakshmi, wife of Satish of Kuvempunagar, who was allegedly running the racket, 38-year-old Ravindra, son of Kalegowda of Kadakola and 51-year-old Shivalingaiah, son of Choudegowda of Hosalli village in Mandya. The Police have also rescued two women from the house. A case has been registered at Vidyaranyapuram Police Station in this regard.

In the second case, the CCB Police, who raided a house near Mahamane Circle in Dattagalli 3rd Stage, have arrested two persons for indulging in flesh trade and have seized Rs.4,450 cash and two mobile phones from them.

The arrested have been identified as 26-year-old P.T. Sandesh Kumar, son of Thimmanna of Srirangapatna and 33-year-old Mahadevu, son of Ramanna of Naadappanahalli in Hunsur.

In the third case, the CCB sleuths, who raided a house in Ramakrishnanagar I-Block on July 19, have arrested three persons for indulging in flesh trade racket and have seized Rs.4,350 cash and four mobile phones from them.

The arrested have been identified as 31-year-old Thammannegowda, 28-year-old Abhishek, son of Karigowda of Bevinakuppe in Pandavapura and 48-year-old Shanthakumar, son of Singraiah of Hunsur. A case has been registered at Kuvempunagar Police Station in this regard.
