Mysuru: Floral tributes to the portrait of freedom fighter Sangolli Rayanna marked Krantiveera Sangolli Rayanna Jayanti celebrations organised under the aegis of Mysuru Kannada Vedike at Freedom Fighters Memorial Hall in Subbarayanakere this morning.

C Shivakumar, Planning Co-ordinator, Integrated Tribal Development Planning Council, inaugurated the event.

Social worker K. Raghuram, Film Producer Ln. Venkatesh, writer Kamala Jain, Photo Journalist Gavimatha Ravi, Journalist M. Beeresh and agriculturist A.M. Swamy Gowda were presented ‘Sangolli Rayanna’ awards on the occasion.

Vedike President Balakrishna, Mysuru Freedom Fighters Association President M.G. Krishnamurthy and others were present.
