Mysore/Mysuru: Sri Thyagaraja Sangeetha Sabha Charitable Trust, Mysuru, will be conducting a flute concert by Vid. Rakesh Sudhir, a talented flautist from Mysuru, at 6 pm on Sept. 24 at Sri Rama Mandira in Jayanagar here.
Vid. Rakesh Sudhir is a disciple of renowned flautist, Karnataka Kalashree Vid. A.V. Prakash. A graded artiste of AIR, he has performed in several prestigious Sabhas, including Madras Music Academy, Narada Gana Sabha, Chennai and also presented a flute duet with guru Vid. A.V. Prakash at Nadaniranjanam, TTD, Tirupathi.
He is also adept in vocal music, having been trained under the tutelage of Vidu. H.N. Rajalakshmi Narasimhamurthy. Rakesh Sudhir is also a passionate music teacher and Recording Sound Engineer.
He will be accompanied on violin by Vid. Amogh Nadadur, on mridanga by Vid. P. Nataraj and on ghata by Vid. Shrinidhi R. Koundinya, according to a press release.
