Mysuru: Kalasuruchi has organised a Flute Concert by R. Balasubramanya at Suruchi Rangamane on Chitrabhanu Road in Kuvempunagar on Dec. 7 at 6.30 pm.

He started learning flute (Bansuri) under noted flautist from Mysuru, Sameer Rao.  Later, he studied Bansuri at the famous Vrindavan Gurukul, under Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia.  He has been awarded a Fellowship from Centre for Cultural Resources and Training.

He will be accompanied on tabla by Pandit Parameshwar Hegde, who received his training from N.S. Hegde of Honnavar and Ravindra Yavagal of Bengaluru. He has been playing tabla for the past 23 years all over India and abroad.
