Flute concert by UK’s Neila in city today evening

Mysuru: St. Cecilia’s School of Music, as part of the school’s Music Education Programme has organised a flute concert by Neila Jayne from the UK at the school premises in Lourde Nagar, Lashkar Mohalla, near St. Philomena’s Church at 6.30 pm today.

Her repertoire for the evening will include Bizet’s Carmen, Ed Sheeran’s Photographs, Movie themes, works from Disney and other favourites. Neila will be accompanied on the Cello by Felix M. Joseph and Piano by Aaron Christopher Francis. Entry is free.

About the flautist: Neila, a versatile flautist, graduated from Leeds College of Music in 2012 as a classically trained Flautist and Pianist. From an early age of two, Neila was passionately engaged in Music, dance and gymnastics. Her interest in dance and gymnastics and her natural flare for rhythm in these disciplines subsequently led her in a musical direction from the age of 5 onwards. She originally studied flute in Sri Lanka and now takes trips to Mysuru, India for lessons with City’s Ravi Shankar Mishra.
