Mysore/Mysuru: Prakash Performing Arts Trust, Mysuru, has organised a flute recital by Vidwan Mysore A. Chandan Kumar and Team featuring “Compositions of Post Trinity” on its digital FaceBook Page Platform on Oct. 11 (Sunday) at 6 pm.
Vid. Chandan Kumar will be accompanied by Vid. H. N. Bhaskar on violin and Vid. G.S. Ramanujan on mridanga.
Profile: Mysore A. Chandan Kumar hails from a family of great musical heritage. He is the great grandson of the legendary violinist, Sangeetha Kalanidhi, Sangeetha Ratna late Mysore T. Chowdaiah (1895-1967), who was a celebrated Karnatak icon of South India. He learnt the art of flute playing from his revered Guru M. Gopalakrishna and also seeking guidance under Padma Bhushan P.S. Narayana Swamy, Chennai.
A top-ranking artiste of All India Radio and Doordarshan, Chandan has performed at the prestigious Akashavani Sangeeth Sammelan before an invited audience at Vijayanagaram, Andhra Pradesh, during 2008. He has also performed in the South Zone hook up programme on the Doordarshan.
