The Forest Department personnel are seen lighting fire to dry grass and extinguishing them to create a fire line atop Chamundi Hill this morning. This is a routine exercise to prevent fire from spreading further in case of any fire incidents at the hill. The fire lines will help in controlling any accidental fire in the forest area and prevent destruction of vegetation and wildlife.
