Formation of Hootagalli CMC & three other Town Panchayats: MLA GTD holds talks with DC

Mysore/Mysuru: With the Government announcing formation of Hootagalli City Municipal Council (CMC) and three other Town Panchayats — Bogadi, Srirampura and Rammanahalli Town Panchayats (TPs), all coming under Chamundeshwari Constituency — the Constituency MLA G.T. Devegowda (GTD) met Deputy Commissioner (DC) Dr. Bagadi Gautham at the DC’s Office here yesterday and held talks on the formal constitution of the four urban bodies.

Speaking to presspersons, Devegowda said that the Government announced formation of Hootagalli CMC comprising Koorgalli, Hootagalli, Belawadi and Hinkal Gram Panchayats and upgradation of Bogadi, Rammanahalli and Srirampura Gram Panchayats as Town Panchayats, through an official notification issued over three months ago. With the Government issuing the notification, he had met the DC on taking necessary action in this regard,           he said.

Continuing, Devegowda said that he also held discussions with the DC on the staffing of the new urban local bodies and on continuance of service of those  staff  such as Engineers, Accountants, Bill Collectors, Watermen, Pourakarmikas etc., who  are already serving in the Gram Panchayats that come under the new urban local bodies.
