Former Corporator M. Narayanappa passes away

Mysore/Mysuru: M. Narayanappa (82), former Corporator and a resident of Vijayanagar 1st Stage, passed away yesterday in city. He leaves behind his wife Sundaramma, six sons, four daughters, grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.

Last rites were held at N.R. Mohalla Burial Grounds this noon, according to family sources.

Narayanappa, who owns a Gayathri Flower Stall at Devaraja Market, was popularly known as ‘Hoovina Narayanappa.’ He was elected twice as a Corporator. Narayanappa was given the responsibility of decorating the Golden Howdah, during  Jumboo Savari.
