Former GP President killed as private bus hits

Mysore/Mysuru: A former Rammanahalli Gram Panchayat (GP) President was killed on the spot, when a private bus rammed into him near Varuna Lake yesterday.

The deceased is Nagaraju (50), a resident of Kalisiddanahundi. Nagaraju, along with four of his friends, had been to Chikkallur Jatra and were on  their way back.

They stopped near Varuna Lake to attend nature’s call and Nagaraju, who had crossed to the other side of the road was coming towards the car when a private bus (KL-17-A-9639), coming from Mysuru side, rammed into Nagaraju, killing him on the spot.

Varuna Police, who rushed to the spot, conducted mahazar, shifted the body to MMC&RI mortuary for post-mortem besides registering a case.
