June 7, 2021

Bengaluru: Former Karnataka Minister Prof. Mumtaz Ali Khan passed away at his residence in Bengaluru due to age-related ailments early this morning. He was 94.

He is survived by his wife and a daughter.  He had served as Haj, Wakf and Minorities Welfare Minister in the B.S. Yediyurappa-led BJP Government formed in 2008.

A soft spoken leader, he had served as a Professor at the Agricultural University, Bengaluru, before entering politics.
