Former MUDA Chairman H.V. Rajeev quits BJP

Mysore/Mysuru: Nearly an year after being denied the party ticket from KR Constituency in the May 2023 Assembly polls, senior BJP leader and a  former MUDA Chairman H.V. Rajeev has quit the BJP citing changed political scenario in the State.

In a letter addressed to the City BJP President on Friday, Rajeev, who had maintained a distance from the BJP since the May 2023 Assembly polls, said that he was resigning from the Primary Membership of the party.

Pointing out that he had held several posts in the BJP during years of his service to the party, he said that he was quitting due to political transition in the State.

Rajeev is likely to join the Congress along with his supporters soon.
