Former Union Minister demands JPC probe into Rafale deal

Mysuru: – Former Union Minister Pallam Raju has demanded a JPC (Joint Parliamentary Committee) probe into the Rafale Jet Deal.

Addressing a press meet at Jaladarshini Guest House here this morning, Pallam Raju alleged that the NDA Government headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi had made false submission to the Supreme Court on Rafale Deal, which resulted in the Apex Court ruling out a probe into the matter.

Claiming that the Rafale Deal was a huge scam involving thousands of crores of rupees, Raju accused Prime Minister Modi of favouring Ambani in the Rafale Deal, while ignoring the interests of the public sector giant HAL.

Reiterating his demand for a JPC probe to unearth the truth behind  Rafale deal, the former Union Minister said that the Congress would make it a issue in the 2019 Lok Sabha polls. City Congress President R. Murthy, District President Dr. B.J. Vijaykumar, leaders H.A. Venkatesh, M. Lakshmana, Eshwar Chakkadi, Abu Mohammed, Shivaprasad and others were present.
