Forty sheep killed in wall collapse

Mysore/Mandya: Forty sheep, which were left inside a shed at a house, died after the wall collapsed on them at Ummadahalli in Mandya taluk. The family members have escaped miraculously.

The house belonged to Yashodhamma and the sheep died after getting stuck under the debris of the wall and the family members have urged the Taluk Administration to provide compensation.

Goats swept away: About 15 goats and a cow were swept away in Shimsha River.

The livestock belonged to one Govindappa, who was residing in a hut on the banks of Shimsha River near the road leading to Holeanjaneya Temple in Maddur town. There were a total of three cows out of which two cows were rescued. But about 15 goats and another cow were swept away in the river.
