Mysuru: The Foundation Day of Karnataka State Dr. Gangubai Hangal Music and Performing Arts University will be held on Sept. 18 from 10 am to 8 pm at Veene Seshanna Bhavan in Kuvempunagar.

Cultural programmes will be held between 11 am and 12 noon which will be inaugurated by Primary and Secondary Education Minister Tanveer Sait in the presence of Javed Akthar, Principal Secretary, Department of Higher Education, Bengaluru and Music Vaarsity VC Dr. Sarvamangala Shankar.

Cultural programmes by the old students will be held between 12 noon and 1.30 pm.

The stage programme will be held at 6 pm which will be inaugurated by District Minister Dr. H.C. Mahadevappa. Suttur Seer Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Swamiji will grace the occasion.

MLA M.K. Somashekar, Varsity VC Dr. Sarvamangala Shankar, Finance Officer H.M. Gayathri, Registrar (Evaluation) Prof. R. Rajesh, Registrar Prof. Niranjana and others will be present.
