Mysuru: Kamakshi Hospital celebrated its Founder’s Day and 45th anniversary and as part of it, children of the staff who have secured high marks in PUC and SSLC examinations were awarded cash prizes and the staff who have served for 25 years were honoured.
The programme was held at Kamakshi Hospital in Kuvempunagar yesterday and Dr. Prakash K. Prabhu and Dr. R.G. Srinivas and staff Roopa and Eerabhadra, who have completed 25 years of service, were honoured.
Prizes were distributed to the winners of lucky dip — Kalavathi, Jyothi, Mahalakshmi, Dr. Pravin, Prabhukumar, Puttaraju, K.M. Prabha, D.N. Lillie and Ambika and Raju — and meritorious students.
Later, Senior Surgeon Dr. C.G. Narasimhan, speaking on the occasion, said that Kamakshi Hospital was started 45 years ago and he had been serving in the hospital since then. There is lot of development that has taken place over the years and it is doing excellent work, he added.
The earlier Managing Trustees Vinod Rao and Vishwanath Rao had strived hard for the improvement of the hospital and their contribution is immense. Today, the young Mahesh Shenoi is leading from the front and working hard for the development. A new building is coming up and basic facilities to the staff who have completed 25 years of service has been provided, he said lauding the efforts of the Trustees.
Managing Trustee Mahesh Shenoi, Joint Managing Trustee Ashok Shenoi, Medical Superintendent Dr. Umesh Kamath, Administrator Dr. K.R. Kamath, Treasurer Vishwanath Rao, Industrialist Sam Cherian and others were present.
