Four achievers selected for  D.V. Halabhavi National Award

Bengaluru: Four achievers in the field of painting have been selected for the prestigious National Award for the year 2022, being given by D.V. Halabhavi National Memorial Trust every year.

“Kuncha Kala Tapasvi” Lifetime Achievement Award  will be given to Bengaluru’s  P. Sampathkumar;  “Kuncha Kalashri” Award to Dharwad’s F.V. Chikkamutt and “Yuva Kuncha Kalasri” Award to Chikkamagaluru’s Lakshmi Mysuru and Mumbai’s Satish Patil.

The State Government has constituted D.V. Halabhavi Rashtriya Trust in honour of one of the best painting artists of Karnataka D.V. Halabhavi and  is promoting the art of painting. As such, every year through the Trust, it is felicitating artists across the country by conferring them with awards.

The awards for the year 2022 will be presented at a function to be held on Nov. 29 at Dharwad’s Aluru Venkatarao Samskritika Bhavan.
