Four arrested for extortion and lifting vehicles

Six two-wheelers, gold chain, mobile phone worth Rs. 5.05 lakh recovered

Mysore/Mysuru: Alanahalli Police, on Jan. 16 and 17, have arrested four persons on charges of extortion and lifting two-wheelers and have recovered six two-wheelers, one 30 gram gold chain, and one mobile phone, all worth Rs. 5,05,000 from them.

Following the arrest, the Police have solved two extortion cases in Alanahalli Police limits and three two-wheeler lifting cases —one case each in Mysuru South, T. Narasipur and Srirangapatna Police limits.

DCP (Crime and Traffic) M.S. Geetha Prasanna and Devaraja Sub-Division ACP M.N. Shashidhar guided Alanahalli Inspector B.S. Ravishankar, Sub-Inspector T.S. Mahendra, ASI M.S. Lakshminarayan and staff B.K. Chowdappa, T. Sathish, H.S. Chethan, Suhail, B.R. Bhaskar, L. Gunesh and B.H. Ranganath in the nabbing and seizing operation.
