Four-day District-level Basketball Tournament begins in city

The inauguration of four-day Mysuru District Level Basketball Championship organised by All Stars Basketball Club was held yesterday at the Puttaraj Gawai Stadium in JP Nagar.

The tournament was inaugurated by Mayor M.J. Ravikumar. Journalist Rajashekar Koti, Department of Youth Empowerment and Sports Deputy Director (Retd.) M. V. Srinivas, Prof. M. Chandrakumar, Professor, DOS in Physical Education and Sport Sciences; Former Mayor B.L. Byrappa, J.P. Nagar Corporater presided over the event.

Day 1 Results

Cavery School bt St. Matthias by 28-08 points; St. Joseph School (Jayalakshmipuram) beat M.L.Z.S School by 36-09 points;  Pushkarini School (‘B’ Team) beat JSS School (Saraswathipuram) by 32-28 points; St. Joseph (Vijayanagar) beat Pushkarani School by 15-08 points.
