Four held for man’s murder

Mysore/Mysuru: Udayagiri Police have arrested four persons including two chain-snatchers in connection with the murder of a man, whose body was found with his throat slit last week in Udayagiri.

Those arrested are chain-snatchers Fairoz Khan and Yasin alias Hussaini Baig, Khasifulla Khan, an accused in mobile phone theft and Ashiq. The accused on Oct. 12 night had allegedly murdered Habib Khan by slitting his throat.

It is learnt that Habib Khan is accused in a murder and robbery case and was a friend of those who have been arrested.

Habib, along with his friends, used to sit and chat at the vacant land near Al-badar Circle in Udayagiri everyday and on Oct. 12 at about 11 pm, Habib went out from his house and those arrested had murdered him by slitting his throat.

The incident came to light on Oct. 13 morning and Udayagiri Police, who had registered a case, conducted investigation and arrested the four accused. It is said that old enmity was said to be the reason behind the murder.
