Four injured in car-KSRTC bus collision in Nanjangud

Nanjangud: Four occupants of a car including the driver, sustained serious injuries when the car in which they were travelling rammed into a KSRTC bus at Visvesvaraya (Hullahalli) Circle in Nanjangud early this morning.

It is reported that the speeding car (KA-05 MR-9564), which was coming from Mysuru side, rammed into the KSRTC bus (KA-10 F-0014) which was coming from Kalale side, resulting in the occupants of the car sustaining serious injuries.

While the injured car driver has been admitted to the  General Hospital in Nanjangud, the details of other occupants who were also injured is not known.

Nanjangud Traffic Police, who reached the accident spot, got the vehicles separated and made way for smooth flow of traffic.

It is learnt that the KSRTC bus, which was supposed to take a turn at the Circle to proceed further, failed to do so and came in a wrong way resulting in the car ramming into the bus.

Loss of lives was also prevented as the air bags installed in the car opened thus saving the precious lives.

Nanjangud Traffic Police,  who have registered a case in this regard, have seized both  the vehicles.
