Mysuru: Four persons were severely injured in a head-on collision between a car and a van near Royal Function Hall on Mysuru-Bengaluru Road here on Friday night.

The accident took place when a Maruti Swift car coming to the city from Bengaluru was hit by a speeding van coming in the opposite direction.

All the four persons travelling in the Swift car sustained severe injuries and were rushed to a private hospital in the city, it is learnt.

The front portion of the car was badly mangled in the mishap.

N.R. Traffic Police have registered a case in this regard.
