Mysuru: Four distinguished individuals have been selected for this year’s Jeevanmukhi Award, jointly presented by the Bengaluru-based Akhila Karnataka Kuvempu Samskrutika Vedike and ‘Jeevanmukhi’ Kannada fortnightly.
The awardees are: Justice Shivaraj V. Patil, former Supreme Court Judge, Dr. M.V. Venkatesh, Commissioner, Department of Religious Endowments and Muzrai, H.K. Ramu, former President, Karnataka State Government Employees’ Association and N. Rajendra, Industrialist.
Veteran littérateur Go.Ru. Channabasappa will present the awards at a ceremony to be held on June 22 at Nayana Auditorium, Kannada Bhavan, J.C. Road, Bengaluru.
On the occasion, Joint Commissioner of Police (Traffic) M.N. Anucheth will release a special commemorative issue, while former Karnataka Janapada Parishat Chairman T. Thimmegowda will preside over the event.
