Four T.S. Subbanna Trust Members accused of cheating

Mysore/Mysuru: Four Trustees of T.S. Subbanna Public Educational Institutions have been booked for cheating funds to the tune of over Rs. 20 lakh, at Vidyaranyapuram Police Station in city.

According to the complaint lodged by Secretary of the Trust D.G. Somashekar Murthy to a Court, on the basis of anonymous letters received by him,  “Trustees G.C. Rajanna, 65, D. Nagunayak, 66, Dr. A.S. Chandrashekar, 66 and P.N. Harish, 66, raised funds of over Rs. 20 lakh from general public, teachers of various schools and others in the form of donations, from Jan. 1, 2020 to May 31, 2023, but didn’t deposit the funds in the account of the Trust. They have neither maintained the accounts in a proper way.”

When questioned about the charges of misappropriation of funds, they threatened with dire consequences like sending to jail and also sacking from the Trust, Murthy has alleged further.

Following the Court order, Vidyaranyapuram Police have registered a case in this regard and are investigating.
