Mysuru: Suvarna Karnataka Kerala Samajam (SKKS) inaugurated its fourth zone in Mysuru recently at a function held at Lions Bhavan, Gokulam here.

The Socio Cultural organisation of Malayalees in Karnataka is based at Bengaluru and spread over five districts in the State, including Bengaluru Urban and Rural, Mysuru, Mandya, Kolar and Tumakuru.

Dr. J. Alexander, A.R. Infant, Adv. Tony Sebeastian, Shridevi Unni are the advisers of the organisation.

State President Rajan Jacob inaugurated North Zone. Dist. President Dr. Anil Thomas presided over the function.

State Vice-President N. Valsan, Treasurer V.C. Thomas, Dist. Secretary John Thayyil, Co-ordinator Jayarajan, East Zone Chairman Suresh Babu, West Zone Chairman George Kumar, South Zone Chairman Babu Thuruthiyil, Nanjangud Zone Chairman Dr. Johny and other office-bearers and Members of Suvarna Karnataka Kerala Samajam North Zone attended the function.

Anirudhan is elected as the North Zone Chairman, Shiju Kumar – Zone Convenor, Pavithran  – F. Covenor, Manu B. Menon – Vice-Chairman and Shaji Nambiar – Joint Convenor; Committee members: M.C. Mathew, George M.C. Shaji, Damodaran, Vinod, C. Girish, Suresh, Abraham Vargehes, Biju Baby, Muralidharan Menon and Unni Madavan.

Shiju Krishnan welcomed the members. Pavithran proposed a vote of thanks.
