Mysuru: Free haircut for Mahouts, Kavadis and their family members accompanying the Dasara elephants, has been organised by Karnataka Rajya Savitha Samaja at the Palace premises here on Sept. 8.
The event will be inaugurated at 10.30 am by Mayor M.J. Ravikumar. Hunsur MLA H.P. Manjunath will be the special invitee.
Savitha Samaja District President Nagaraj and Taluk President Girish will be the chief guests. MLA M.K. Somashekar will preside.
Dasara Invitations TO DIGNITARIES: District in-Charge Minister Dr. H.C. Mahadevappa has said that invitations will be extended to poet K.S. Nissar Ahmed, who is slated to inaugurate Dasara celebrations atop Chamundi Hill on Sept. 21, Chief Minister Siddharamaiah and Governor Vajubhai R. Vala tomorrow (Sept. 7).
