Free health check-up camp held at Hebbal Park

Mysore/Mysuru: A free health check-up camp was organised for the general public at Basavanagudi Park in Hebbal here recently.

Chamaraja MLA K. Harish Gowda inaugurated the free camp jointly organised by Karnataka AIDS Prevention Society, Bengaluru, District AIDS Control Unit, Mysuru, Integrated Counselling and Testing Centres (ICTC), ESI Hospital, Mysuru, District Hospital, Mysuru, NJ Hospital, Mysuru and Primary Health Centre (PHC), Kumbarakoppal.

Speaking after inaugurating the health camp, MLA Harishgowda appealed the people to co-operate with the authorities to eradicate the dreaded HIV /AIDS disease before 2030 and subjected himself to various medical tests at the camp.

The birthday of former Corporator Pailwan Srinivas was celebrated on the occasion.

More than 700 people participated in the free health checkup camp where specialist doctors gave free consultations to the people. Medical tests for BP, Diabetes, HIV, Gastroenterology, Bone Mineral Density and certain specific tests for women were done at the free camp.

Ayushman Bharat Health Account (ABHA) cards, e-Shram cards and  free medicines were distributed at the camp.

Dr. T. Amarnath, Dr. Shiva-kumar, Dr. Chandrakala, Dr. Ramya, Dr. Shruthi, NJ Hospital’s Dr. Manu Prakash, Dr. Satish Durgesh, Dr. D. Sindhu Lakshmi and Dr. Mamatha conducted free medical checkup for the citizens.

Health Department staff Savitha, Vasumathi, Geetha, Puttaraju, Siddeshwarappa, Nagendraprasad, Harish, Amarnath, Devaraj, staff of NJ Hospital, Kumbarakoppal PHC, ASHA workers and local leaders were present  on the occasion.
