Suttur Srikshetra, apart from organising mass marriages during the Jathra Mahotsava, is also organising mass marriages every month since February 2009. All sections of society are eligible to take part in these mass marriages. The next monthly mass marriage will be held on May 16 at Suttur in Nanjangud. The prospective bridegrooms and brides, who have completed 21 and 18 years respectively may apply along with their photographs, caste certificates and age certificate based on school admission records. Free gold mangalsutra, silver toe-rings, saree and blouse will be given to the brides while the bridegrooms will be given panche, valli and shirt.
